Dimensional informatics
 
 Telematics is any integrated use of telecommunications and information technology, also known as Information and Communications Technology. Thus the application of information technologies is the case with any of the following:
 
    Technology of sending, receiving and storing information via telecommunication devices in conjunction with controlling objects from a distance.
    Integrated use of communications and informatics, for application in vehicles and with control of moving vehicles.
    Information technologies that include, but are not limited to, the Global Positioning System technology integrated with computers and mobile communications technology in car navigation systems.
    More specifically, this term has evolved to refer to the use of these systems within road vehicles, in which case vehicle telematics may be used.
