Informatics Engineering

Informatics engineering, or information technology engineering, is a branch of engineering aimed at the rigorous systematic development, maintenance and operation of software systems, and to provide appropriate network solutions to connect computers, and ensure secure access to data anytime, anywhere. It also aims to automate tasks that require intelligent behavior that mimic human behavior, and provide economically effective solutions to practical problems for the service of man. [1]

This specialization intersects with several engineering sciences such as: Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Neurological and Administrative Sciences, Systems Engineering and Computers.

Information engineering encompasses a number of sub-disciplines, such as software engineering, information systems engineering, computer network engineering and artificial intelligence.

Software engineering is concerned with the practice of computer programming ie the development of high-quality software systematically and controlled development, with a focus on analysis, characterization, design, completion and testing. In addition, the concepts of quality, modernity, innovation, individual skills, teamwork and professional practices.

Information systems include people, data records and procedures that process data and information in an organization. Information systems include: human components, technology, organization, thesaurus, interfaces and channels.

Network engineering focuses on the study of different types of networks: local and wide, wired and wireless, in terms of features and areas of use and «protocols» followed. It also enables graduates to build secure distributed network applications. Artificial intelligence is concerned with building intelligent machines and deals with machine learning and intelligent behavior
