The impact of some indicators of knowledge on Egyptian industrial exports

Knowledge has become one of the concerns of all developed and developing countries alike, as it has become an intervention in all fields and sectors of the industrial, agricultural, and service sectors. Because of its growth in exporting countries, therefore, countries have started to implement protection policies for their goods and provide support to them.
In a study prepared by the economic researcher under the title “The impact of some indicators of knowledge on Egyptian industrial exports for the period 1994-2013”
As the study aimed to measure the impact of some knowledge indicators on the value of industrial exports in Egypt by following the inductive methodology and standard and statistical analysis of data.
As for the indicators upon which the study was based, it was a dependent variable, which is (the value of Egyptian industrial exports), and a set of independent variables represented in (the number of Internet users, the number of published scientific and engineering articles, the number of patents, spending on research and development, and the literacy rate for adults (more From 15 years))
The study has adopted the inductive methodology of the variables that were approved and obtained from several official sites, namely (the World Bank, the Arab Monetary Fund, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics and the United Nations Development Program), and the method of statistical and standard analysis was used through the data package of the system (spss22) To analyze the data.
The study reached several results, the most important of which are:
1- There is a positive and moral impact of each of (spending on research and development and the number of Internet users) in Egypt on industrial exports.
2- There was no impact for each of (the number of patents, the number of published scientific and engineering articles and the literacy rate) on the volume of industrial exports and the reason for the lack of a trace of patents could be that not all inventions submitted to the Egyptian Patent Office are marketed according to statistics The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics for the year 2015 shows that the number of patents submitted in 2008 was (33) and what was marketed is (7) and the case did not differ in the years 2010 2011 where the number of patents submitted respectively (76 and 72) and what was marketed (3 and 4) This gives us an impression of a lack of interest in this aspect, This reason may also indicate the absence of a significant effect of the published scientific and engineering articles, as this type of article is mostly employed in the service of patents that did not receive much attention from the state as indicated by statistics.
